Bellevue Society for the Arts will begin its 2015–16 season with a bang. 
Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun” will open the season on Friday, Sept. 18. 
Annie Oakley is the best shot around, and she manages to support her little brother and sisters by selling the game she hunts. When she’s discovered by Col. Buffalo Bill, he persuades the novel sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show.
Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, July 27 and 28. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27.

BSA’s very successful “Holiday Inn” cabaret events continue in 2015, beginning with Halloween’s “All Hallow’s Eve Eve” Cabaret on Friday, Oct. 30.

Rumors,” by the legendary Neil Simon, will be staged Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 13, 14, 20 and 21, with auditions Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21 and 22. David Riegel, Bellevue, directs the comedy, set at the large, tastefully-appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse, where the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce.

Thanksgiving’s “Giving Thanks” Cabaret will be Black Friday, Nov. 27.

Kick off the Christmas Season with the “Happy Holiday” Cabaret on Friday, Dec. 11, followed by BSA’s first annual Madrigal Dinner Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13. More information will be announced at a later date.
The New Year’s Eve Cabaret will be held Thursday, Dec. 31.

Valentine’s Day Weekend 2016 begins with “A Cabaret Valentine” on Friday, Feb. 12, and continues with Jason Robert Brown’s intimate musical, “The Last Five Years,” Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13 and 14, and again Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19 and 20. “The Last Five Years” is an emotionally powerful musical about two New Yorkers in their 20s who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically.
Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 4 and 5.

The St. Patrick’s Day-themed Cabaret will take place Friday, March 18, 2016.

The 2016 Children’s Theatre production will run Friday–Sunday, March 25, 26 and 27, with special additional matinee-only performances Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, 2016. Auditions will be Sunday and Monday, Dec. 27 and 28. Bellevue sisters Jodie Fleming-Arnold and Heather Walters co-direct BSA’s Children Theatre program, which is open to all children ages 7-12 in any school system.

The “Spring Fling” Cabaret will be Friday, April 15, 2016.

Celebrate Mom with the Mother’s Day Cabaret Friday, May 6, 2016.

Lori Damschroder of Woodville will direct “Clue: The Musical” Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday, May 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21, 2016. The internationally-popular Parker Brothers board game is now a fun-filled musical which brings the world’s best-known suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon. The audience helps deduce the solution from clues given throughout the show.

The “Dear Old Dad” Father’s Day Cabaret is Friday, June 17, 2016.

The Fourth of July is on a Monday in 2016. Celebrate a few days early with the Independence Day-themed Cabaret on Friday, July 1.

BSA’s Teen Theatre closes out the 2015–16 season with an offbeat, hilarious murder mystery farce complete with mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds and a corpse in a wheelchair! 
Lucky Stiff” revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6 million. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn, or else his uncle’s gun-toting ex! Directed by Jennifer Miller, Bellevue, “Lucky Stiff” runs Friday–Sunday, July 15–17, 2016. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, May 23 and 24.

All titles are pending availability, licensing, rights, royalties, etc. Dates, times and titles are subject to change.

You and/or your organization can capitalize on the volunteers, cast and audiences that participate in our productions by sponsoring a show. Your sponsorship helps pay for production costs — scripts, music, royalties, sets, costumes, and props, etc. In return, you will receive recognition on the cover of the show program, in all advertising, including posters/fliers, press releases, and TV and radio, if applicable, on Bellevue’s uptown banner in a full-page program ad for the remainder of the season.

BSA also offers a Live Music Patron option. Your contribution will allow BSA to feature a live orchestra for musical productions when possible.

You can purchase season ticket pass cards at the box office. Prices are $70 ($50 for adults 60+). They are good for seven BSA-produced performances (cabarets/dinner theater events not included). Card bearers may use one or multiple passes for a performance. Just present your pass at the ticket window. Pass holders are not guaranteed tickets without prior reservation.
